Well what can i say? WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!

The show was Friggin awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was the best example of oganized chaos i have ever seen!

There was CLub Juggling, Ball Jugglin, Ring Juggling. They combined all three in so many ways. Wes & Jay tangled themselves and each other in and out of the Juggling rings. Jay is as bendy as they say he is!

I loved the way they used their kit as props to stomp on and elivate a single ball or club to juggle with.

And the swedish joke well, probably the best joke i have ever heard!!!!

Thank you so much Wes & Jay for coming to Glastonbury and putting on a fantastic show! And what a turn out, even Haggis and Charlie were there!!!!! I do wish i had got to meet them.

But i think meeting 2 famous jugglers is enough for one night and the atmosphere was giddy with excitement already before adding more to it.

Jay and Wes are coming to Glastonbury to perform in the Glastonbury Assembly Halls on Sunday 22nd May 7-9pm

There is much excitement in the Yokel camp as you can imagine!!!

A playground full of shapes fills the stage ready to pop into action. Stomping down makes balls fly up, pulling up sends clubs sideways, and sideways spins keep rings from falling down. 43 tricks interlace arms and objects into unexpected juggling contraptions.

Jay Gilligan (USA) has collaborated with Cirque du Soleil, Les Sept Doigts de la Main, Cirkus Cirkör, Cie Jérôme Thomas, and the Gandini Juggling Project. He holds the most gold medals ever awarded in the history of the International Jugglers’ Association and is the head teacher of juggling at the Dans och Cirkushögskolan in Stockholm, Sweden.

Wes Peden (USA) won a Bronze Medal at the 33rd Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain. He has performed in 17 different countries, including shows for the King and Queen of Sweden on three separate occasions. Wes graduated from the Dans och Cirkushögskolan with a degree in juggling and lives in Stockholm, Sweden.

After the show everyone is welcome to stick around for a social gathering with tea and co

On the 10th December 2010, the Yokel Jugglers were asked to perform in Wincanton for their annual Christmas Extravaganza.

Louise, Alex, Craig, Marcus & Ben walked up down the high street with their LED Hoops. Clubs and unicycle.

Sadly there wasnt much of a crowd in Wincanton though we are hoping to go next year and show the people of wincanton what we are made of with our fire performances!

On the 9th December the Yokel Jugglers performed at the Castle Cary Victorian Night to celebrate their Christmas festivities.

We were based near the town hall in our own roped off area where we could play with fire untill our hearts were content.

It was a very successful night and we drew in a big crowd. I did'nt have much luck to begin with, neither of my LED Poi sets were working properly and on my 2nd fire spin one of them went out, only spinning with one poi is quite tricky, your empty arm just wants to join in!!!

We had myself and Faith spinning Fire Poi, Louise looking smoking with her Fire Hoop, Craig spinning his Fire Staff and Graham, Ed Alex and Gary Fire Club Juggling.

Ed and Ben did a spectacular show with their K8 Juggling Clubs in the middle of the high street and to top off the night Gary pulled out his Fire Skipping Rope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it looked awesome!!!!

We  can't forget the star of the show, Marcus, on his stilts. Before he turned up all the organizer could ask was "wheres marcus? i want marcus" i think that boy can go far on his own! Well done mate x

The only downside to the evening was that is was REALLY REALLY COLD!!!! I lost the feeling in my toes it was that cold!

But it was worth it and no doubt we will be there next year

It is a sad time of year for the Yokel Jugglers.

On the 9th December 2009 our friend Buster passed away.

He was the co-founder of the club and if it wasn't for him (as well as Ed & Claire) we would not have what we have today.

Buster was inspirational, as a man and as a juggler.

We miss you Buster, but you are always in our thoughts

Somerzest at the Octogan Theatre in Yeovil, Somerset turned out to be a very pleasant evening, the sun was shining and the Yokel Jugglers got to play on the green outside of the Octogan Theatre as eye candy for the visitors.

As per normal we had Juggling, Poi Hula Hoops and Diabalo and yet again Craig awed the public with his Contact Juggling, showing off by walking around the theatre whilst manipulating his balls.

The event organisers were very happy with the Yokel Jugglers and we have been invited to their winter event ( I really hope its called Winterzest).

Somerzest also gave us alot to work towards for future events, so next time we will be even better!

Just wanted to write a quick message about the Charity award ceremony we attended. No awards unfortunately, however publicity was fantastic......i think we got noticed. But a fantastic night and fun was had by all! pictures i'm sure will follow (Not on my camera i'm afraid!). Good effort by all though, nice frocks from the ladies and suited and booted (with a twist) from the gents. A Real good effort!

O.k it's now been 2 months since the Yokel Jugglers went to Endorse it in Dorset and i have finally got off my arse to write the blog for it.

It was great!!!! We had a reallt nice tent which we were able to use for workshops and free play and we never stopped, not only did we have the kids learning new Circus skills but we had the parents joining in as well, yet again the dads were doing their best bump and gring whilst hula hooping. We had many regulars who came back each day to learn more tricks, i can safely say we had our own little fan base.

I let one man try walking on stilts and i think i nearly had a heart attack! I was holding has hand a lot tighter then he was holding mine.

Craig was overwhelmed by the amount of people wanting to learn Contact Juggling. lots of people wanted to buy his balls!

Juggling as always was a great success and i even managed to teach a young man the basics of juggling and diabolo, which at the moment the basics are all i know.

Balancing Peacok feathers went down a storm, we havent got them out before and although a few got damged it filled the tent with a sea of feathers levitating through the air, it was a sight to see!

Poi & Hula hoop workshops were also successful, though occasionally a little chaotic.

We made friends with the Pixie Chill guys who very kindly stored our equipment for us when we werent on and joined them in the evening to illuminate their chillout area with L.E.D Poii, Hula Hoops and Juggling Clubs. It was beautiful contrast with their solar powered forest.

Crew camping was fun, it was nice and spacious and the toilets were always clean and filled with loo roll (the whole site was). The food was good and you got free teas if you took your own cup to the cafe! Now how cool is that?

There were many pirates around the wholesite and on the Sunday it was Ladies day, there were so many men who dressed up as women, they were brilliant. It was quite muggy on the sunday so they probably really appreciated the lack of clothing.

From the feedback i got from all the other Yokel i think we would like to go back next year and do it all again. It was good experience for us to do something so big and now we know what to expect we can do it even better next year!

Its August 1st 2010, which means that there is only 5 days untill Endorse it in Dorset. The Yokel Jugglers will be taking over the Big Top in the Kids Area teaching the mini people how to Juggle Balls, Spin Poii, Hula Hoop as well as transforming them in to swash buckiling Pirates.

Im really looking foward to working in a Big Top and sharing my favourite hobbie, converting the young'uns to the bright side of the Circus.

Not only that but it will be the 1st time that i get to Join the Yokel Jugglers at a festival, as i  always miss the stuff like Southern Lights Festival & the British Juggling Convention. So this will be a real treat for me.

I have always wondered what Crew Camping is like as i have only ever been a punter at a festival before so this is a real novelty for me to be working at a festival. I kow there is lots of perks to being crew like cheap beer lol!

There will most likely be a massive Blog after the Yokel Jugglers have worked their magic at Endorse it iin Dorset, giving you a day to day account of our shinnanigans, talented students, favourite bands & how we learnt to talk and laugh like Pirates.

On the same weekend it is also the Crawley Juggling Convention, so to all the Jugglers that are going, i hope you have a fantastic time and have a juggle for us!!!!!

Endorse it in Dorset HERE WE COME!!!!!!!

The Yokel Jugglers are preparing for Endorse it in Dorset, which is only 2 weeks away!

First of all we had a meeting to discuss how we are going to plan our days at Endorse it in Dorset, Finalasing who will be attending and when.

There will be 12 members attending Endorse it in Dorset and we will be running hourly workshops in Juggling, Poi, Hula Hoop, Plate Spinning and many more.

There will also be a Play area where you can just play with the circus equipment, if you dont want to join a workshop, or if you already know what to do but forgot your toys!!!!

We will be Face Painting and balloon modelling too.

When the meeting was over we had our very own workshop within the club, teaching each other skills we hadn't learnt or were not confident in. I learnt how to throw and catch a Diablo!!! I loved it!! Plate Spinning and Flower Stick workshops were going on too and a few of us took the equipment home so we could practise what we had learnt that evening.

The Yokel Jugglers are REALLY excited about attending Endorse it in Dorset! Hopefully we will see you there!!!!!

On Sunday 4th July the Beaminster Festival Held the Beaminster Festival Family Finale in the Beaminster Memorial Playing Fields and the Yokel Jugglers were invited to join in the fun.

It was an overcast warm windy day and Ed, Alex, Marcus, Craig and I went to the Beaminster Memorial Playing Fileds to host our 1st workshop of the year.

We had our own designated area which we filled with Hula Hoops, Poi, Juggling Balls, Diablo, Flower Sticks, Spinning Plates, Contact Balls and Staff, Giving the families of Beaminster a variety of circus skills to learn.

At 2pm the field started to fill and the workshops began. Craig had the most successfull workshop, he was surrounded by children wanting to learn the magic of Contact Balls. If Craig wasn't sitting with his Contact Balls  looking like a Mystic Wizard then he was teaching the children how to use the Staffs.

Ed and Alex taught the children and their parents how to juggle. There was definetley some potential competition in our little area and although the rain held off it showered Juggling Balls!

I taught the children to spin their Poi, it wasnt long before I was in a sea of giant Butterflies or a whirlwind of Weaves.

Some of the children were helping each other learn how to use a Diablo, Spinning Plates were learning to fly, Dads were Hula Hooping and the Flower Sticks started to grow roots!!

Last but not least we had Marcus entertaining the crowd as he towered above them on his Stilts as well as amazing them with his speed and skill on the Unicycle.

The workshop ended at 4pm and it was time for us to perform for the guests of the Family Finale. I was the "warm" up act before Alex and Ed, dancing with my Cobra Poi to Deliriums "Silence" It was the 1st time i had performed to music and although i was nervous, the crowds clapping gave me confidence and soon i was in a world of my own with the Poi and the music.

Alex and Ed were up next with a Club Passing routine which was comical and talented, it was Alex's 1st performance and he was brilliant!!!!!! Of course when Club passing you need a volunteer to risk standing inbetween the Jugglers while they passed the Clubs. A brave young man took it upon himself to volunteer for this deadly task. Again the crowd were superb and gave encouraging cheers to Ed, Alex and the brave volunteer.

Once the Club Passing had finished there was a chant coming from the crowd "Unicycle! Unicycle! Unicycle!" They cried! We had an unexpected finale. Alex and Ed took their positions and started Club passing and with perfect timing Marcus Unicycled in and out of the passes! You wouldnt believe that this had not been practisied!

After the fantastic finale our day was over. Considering it was our 1st Event of the year, it went without a glitch and we cant wait for the next one!!!!!!

I think that's it.

I have been slowly ironing out the teething problems with the new site.

Everything I can find is done.

SEO metatag generation is now automatic. So it will generate meta information based on the content of your article (Hint Hint)

Latest Updates page, functions and keeps me (and you) informed of anything new.

Forum works. And has a section called Website Things, into which you can put any problems with or suggestions for the website. Please put the problems you may or may not have in that forum. It is members access only to the Website Things category, so it should keep any problems we may or may not have out of the public domain.

I am busy and quite tired now so I'm going to leave it like this. If there is anything you would like to volunteer to do for the website then please let me know. There are a million jobs that I'm sure will need doing or moderating. If the forum gets busy then it will need someone to moderate it. Might this be you?

Perhaps you are really a reporter and just can't wait to write news articles on a weekly basis. Since gravity has not changed recently you may struggle to come up with exciting juggling news on a weekly basis, but you could always try.

Or perhaps you just want to write hundreds of articles about juggling, poi, hula hoop, unicycles or anything else.

Although I am a grumpy individual, I am relatively approachable person and like talking about things that interest me, so if you want to talk about things you could do, why not come and see me.
